1967 was half-way through the official life of the Velvet Underground. They were busy the whole time, it seems. Recording demos, like this one, and playing live, mostly in local dive clubs to small crowds. There are a million bootlegs out there now, and luckily many of them are up on YouTube.
Isn't this a great song? It simultaneously accommodates the conventional and the avant garde.
