Let's imagine a person born in the year of the Great Augustus, 2000, and they are just realizing that there's been a lot of great music around for a long time now and it's all on Deezer so I can listen on my iPhone. Someone tells them, "check out the Who!" They listen to some of that1970s crap and figure, fuck these guys. I don't blame them.
This is rock and roll, people! You do better to catch these bands before they make any money. They're still hustling, kicking ass, doing it for the drugs and the girls. For the Who, that means BEFORE TOMMY, and the earlier the better. I think I bought this LP in 1965.
And don't forget those High Numbers cuts. They were hungry like wolves in those days.
